In I Need To Know My Father Part 2 MBP’s extraordinary ensemble cast whose collective artistry, discipline, and emotional intelligence promises to deliver a theatrical experience of rare depth and unforgettable impact. Each performer brings a distinct creative force to the stage, shaping a production that is powerful, heartfelt, and comedic.
MARCIA BROWN – LOUISE PERKINS
Marcia Brown is the founder and artistic director of Marcia Brown Productions. She is an acclaimed producer, writer, director and performer. She is one of the premier female actresses in Toronto's Caribbean community with a reputation that affords her familiarity and trust among avid theatergoers.
As a writer, Brown has written all the comedy-skits performed by the group and has moved comedy from stand-up Internet jokes to real live comedic situations with costumes and more. Most of our churches, community groups, and alumni associations have experienced Marcia’s exhilarating and refreshing comedic acts at their annual or special events. Being a breast cancer survivor Marcia wrote and performed a skit titled “Ignorance” for the African-Canadian Cancer Forum, which received a standing ovation and accolades from those in attendance. After a decade of adapting scripts and writing smaller original works Marcia kicked it up a notch and wrote a full-length play titled “I Need To Know My Father” which was followed by “Deception”, “Blood Ticka Dan Watah” and I Need to Know My Father Past II
Marcia believes that the Jamaican or Caribbean culture is one of the richest in the world, and while the Diaspora lives “abroad”, it is very important that we never lose sight of that rich culture. It is also very important that we pass our cultural baton to the next generation and encourage them to embrace it. She has actively engaged in leaving this legacy as in 2012 and 2013 she produced an all-youth production “Pickney Sinting” a venture where the proceeds went back to the community.
Marcia has received several community awards in recognition of her work. As part of the commemoration of Jamaica’s 50th year of Independence (August 2012), the who’s who of the Jamaican Diaspora in Canada were recognized in a feature book titled “When Ackee Meet Codfish”, Marcia Brown is listed among the 250 achievers and contributors in this historical record.
Most recently, Marcia received the prestigious Jamaican Diaspora Impact Award (JDIA). Established in 2025 under the auspices of the Consulate General of Jamaica in Toronto, the JDIA was created to recognize and celebrate outstanding individuals from the Jamaican Diaspora in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area who have made significant and meaningful contributions to the development, wellbeing, and empowerment of the Jamaican Canadian community. I was honored to be a recipient of the Jamaican Culture & Heritage Award.
“NAGGO’ MORRIS – ROY PERKINS
Errol Morris (known as “NAGGO”) developed the love for acting, and theatre at the tender age of 8. With a burning desire to make people laugh, he developed this craft by observing his father Vernal “Satchmo” Morris, who was a well-known saxophone player and comedian in his own rights; and his idol Richard Pryor. Now, the name Naggo is a household name in the city and many have described him as “one of the funniest actors in the city of Toronto”. From stage plays to his own comedic stints, Naggo aims to please audience members whenever he hits the stage.
Naggo immigrated to Canada in the early 1980’s, and became an instant crowd-pleaser from his performances in “Irie Neighbour” – “ Gimme Life” and “Picka Bone”. He went on to write and direct “WAH” a stage play that was highly successful in the late 1980’s. From there he performed in “Dear Pastor” – “2 for 2” – “Big Yard Pt.3” and “River Mumma” written by Devon Haughton.
In 2000 Naggo was offered a role in “Country Duppy” the first stage play produced by The Jamaica Players (now Marcia Brown Productions) working alongside the Queen of Jamaica theatre Leonie Forbes. Ms. Forbes was very impressed with Naggo’s work and went on to tell him “There are actors that do funny plays – but you make plays funny” these words have remained with Naggo to this date. Upping the ante to his performances, Naggo has taken on more serious and challenging roles over the years with Marcia Brown Productions in, “I Need to Know My Father” – “Front Room” – “Feminine Justice” – “Wipe That Smile” – “Single Entry” – “Rosetta” – “Common-Law” and “Country Duppy”. He also graced the big screens in the award winning “Supper Bob. Naggo has been featured in many community newspapers, and local publications
STACY-ANN BUCHANAN – SARAH PERKINS
Buchanan's impact, entrepreneurial work ethic, and achievements have led her to being selected as one of the 100 Black Women to Watch in Canada, one of the 150 Black Women Making Canada Better, one of the 150 Leading Canadians for Mental Health, and landing a TEDx Talk. She is also the author of the award-winning, Good For You: 114 Mindful Practices Every Woman Can Adopt For A More Harmonious Life.
Her self-directed and self-funded award-winning documentary, The Blind Stigma, made Canadian history when it debuted as the first documentary produced in Canada that takes an in-depth look at how mental health is perceived within the Black community, cementing Buchanan as a documentary filmmaker. As a recognized brand, The Blind Stigma has since branched out into a podcast that continues to explore such stigmas, dissect the multiple factors that contribute to mental illness in Black communities, and provide a safe space for stories to be heard.
Her body of work has firmly planted her career on disrupting systemic anti-Black racism by taking holistic approaches to dismantle the stigmas of how mental health is constructed. Through raising awareness, directing positive dialogues to fuel resources, and orchestrating safe, constructive spaces for Black voices to be amplified, Stacy-Ann Buchanan's ultimate objective is to reclaim the Black narrative.
O’NEIL TAYLOR – JONATHAN BONAVITCH JR
As an avid lover of theatre and film (from his first performance at the age of ten) O’Neil’s deep love and respect for production has carried him from Humber’s Acting for Film and TV program to performing on stages and in communities from the GTA to the UK. When offstage, you can find O’Neil behind camera or helping as a stagehand for Doahl Academy’s annual showcase.

ADREA SMITH – CLAIRE BONAVITCH
Adrea has always had a knack for acting. It is a natural-born talent that God has bestowed to her and in her own words “she is blessed as far as shi can memba.”
Adrea’s stage credits include: Deception, Blood Ticka Dan Watah, Front Room, African Women Are as Strong as the Baobab, and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.
She continues to grow as an actor and storyteller and can be seen on social media as "Mama Selva", a character whose humor, wisdom, and authenticity have resonated with audiences near and far. Adrea embraces life through laughter, love, and peace while giving thanks to God for his many blessings.

TENESHA WILSON – CLAIRE BONAVITCH
Tenesha Wilson is a dynamic entrepreneur, beauty expert, speaker, educator, and creative known for her authenticity, confidence, and ability to inspire others. With over two decades in the beauty industry, she has built a respected name through her passion for empowering women, helping others embrace their uniqueness, and consistently stepping outside of the box to pursue new opportunities and challenges.
Known for her strong presence, resilience, and charismatic personality, Tenesha continues to evolve as a creative force both on and off the stage. Whether she is leading in business, mentoring others, speaking publicly, or now embracing the world of acting, she brings passion, dedication, and excellence to everything she does.
PETER RADCLIFFE – JONATHAN BONAVITCH SR.
With over 3 decades of experience within the entertainment industry; P.K Radcliffe after a hiatus, returned in 2017 in the hit show ‘Little White Lie’ from Crossfield House Productions. It was then he felt a fire reignite within him and from there he reprised his role in the award-winning spin off ‘Little Black Lie.’ This led him to dedicate himself for 4 years through Covid to bring the Reel Gem Productions ‘Imperfect Love’ to the stage. He has continued to grow in his craft, training with The LB Acting Studio and Second City Toronto.
We would advise you to keep on the lookout for P.K as he is slated to be in 4 productions & a short film already for this year otherwise you can catch him hosting on Black Business Live Television as well as on the ‘We Can’t Make This Up’ Podcast.

SHARON CAMPBELL – ELOUISE GONSALES
Sharon Campbell is a talented actress, model, television personality, and former radio host with extensive experience on stage, television, and film.
Her stage credits include Big Yard 3, Mi Get Mi Landed, and Friends. Sharon hosted programs on 105.5 FM, as well as Caribbean Pepper Pot and an interview show that aired on Citytv and Rogers Television.
Her screen credits include Perry Mason, Sandy's Place (CHEX TV), and the award-winning film Superbob.
DANAE PEART – ELOUISE GONSALES
A daughter of the Jamaican soil, Danae is an intelligent, resourceful, leader, coach and change maker. She holds undergraduate degrees in Communications & Linguistics and Urban Studies (cum-laude) from York and a Masters of Applied Environmental Science (Local Economic Development) from University of Waterloo.
As Chief Executive Officer of CHRY Community Radio for over a decade, Danae was responsible for the successful reorganization and establishment of social enterprise VX3 Exchange Inc (for vocational training in media arts), and the creation of VIBE 105FM (Toronto's Diverse Music Mix). Her experiences at CHRY/VIBE were amongst the topics of her 2015 TEDx YorkU’ Ricochet series presentation. Upon completion of CHRY's transition to VIBE, Danae successfully embarked on a professional transition to health care. Building on her educational background and tenure as past president/chair of Black Creek Community Health Centre, she is currently the Executive Director for a pair of Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinics (Emery Keelesdale NPLC) in Toronto.
Danae is the owner of Peart Media + Business Consulting, through which she consults to entities such as VX3, co-manages artists, and provides small business and entrepreneurial advisement. In her alternate business hours Danae may be found debating politics or ideology, hosting radio shows, events, concerts, panels or pursuing her love of acting and comedic ventures. She is a go-to cultural critic for print and other media and has been a contributor with CBC Radio’s --Commotion. Recently she returned to the airwaves as a host on VIBE105FM Mondays to Fridays 12-1pm

KRYSTAL WILSON – LISA PERKINS
Krystal Victoria is a multifaceted artist whose passion for creativity shines through every aspect of her work. As a singer, songwriter, model, actress, dancer, author, entrepreneur, and motivational speaker, she continues to leave a lasting impact across multiple industries.
Known musically as KrystalVoice, she has established herself within the local music scene through releases such as The Gift, Wait, and other notable projects. Her recent collaboration, What About Us, with American artist Darien Dean, appears on his album Memories from Yaad.
Throughout her career, Krystal has graced numerous prestigious stages, including the Black Diamond Ball, JerkFest, and many events across the city. She has performed backup vocals for Mya and opened for Johnny Gill, showcasing her dynamic vocal talent to diverse audiences. The “Voice” in KrystalVoice extends beyond music.
As a public speaker, Krystal shares her personal testimony and inspires audiences through messages of faith, perseverance, and personal growth. As a songwriter, she penned Not Alone, the featured song for Stacy Ann Buchanan’s mental health documentary The Blind Stigma. The song has resonated with audiences internationally and continues to support conversations surrounding mental health awareness. Krystal is also a published author, having created children's books, and a mental health journal. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to launch KrystalVictoria, an all-natural skincare line dedicated to wellness and self-care.
Many may recognize Krystal from her role as the Face of Jamaica during the Toronto Pan Am Games, her title as Miss Canada Globe, or her performances with the renowned Dance Caribe Performing Company. Her presence extends across North America through numerous commercials, billboards, documentaries, and advertising campaigns for major brands including Club Crackers, Tim Horton's, Shoppers Drug Mart, Sam’s Club, IKEA, CIBC, Nissan, Go Transit, & currently FIFA. In early 2026, she also appeared in her first feature film.
Whether through music, writing, business, dance, film, or public speaking, Krystal Victoria continues to make her mark while inspiring others to embrace their own gifts and purpose. Her journey is only beginning—and the best is yet to come.

AMANDA CAMPBELL – LISA PERKINS
Amanda Campbell is ecstatic to be returning as Lisa Perkins in Part 2 of I Need To Know My Father. Having first played the role at 12 years old, she is excited to return to the bubbly, intelligent character ten years later at age 22.
As an English major, Amanda understands the importance of a deep narrative in conveying a story and hopes that everyone who sees this play will enjoy and appreciate its rich plot.
